Found your true love? Want to seal it? Then there is no better place than the newly opened Promise Bridge to full fill your promise. You can also manifest your love for the world by locking a padlock to the bridge and throwing the key into the waters.
Situated near Mushrif Park in Al Khawaneej and nestled over a mini artificial lake, the Promise Bridge is part of developer Meraas' newest eclectic destination, "The Yard", which lounge over 350,000 square feet. The bridge has got 4,000 locks in less than a month after it opened.
You can either bring your locks or buy them from a nearby kiosk for Dh10 apiece. The locks come in all colours, shapes, and sizes. You can even write your name on them.
The Yard was opened on January 28, embraces a rustic courtyard, an organic farmer's market, bakery, restaurants, and a unique mix of shops, But its highlight is a lake spanned by two bridges. Inspired by Dubai's agricultural heartland, it's a blend of rural farm environments with the urban beat with indoor and outdoor spaces.
It's a whole new area to explore in Dubai. It is a 350,000 sq. ft extension to the existing Last Exit D89. The destination features a playful mural, similar to the Art Work across buildings in La Mer.
This is a perfect place for you to get all those beautiful pictures you can flaunt on social media. The 18-m high wind wall, wishing well, decorative vintage trucks scream and whatnot.
The plan is to host community events to bring residents and visitors to the Al Khawaneej area together to socialize, create, and innovate.
Now open to the public, the aim is to be a 2.8 million sq. ft "urban destination" project. The Yard is available 24/7.
